Chill spot for a tasty and filling breakfast/brunch. Really enjoyed the Avo toast and hashbrowns. Service was quick and friendly.
I can't believe I haven't tried Dudley's until now! I had their shrimp pasta, Brussels sprouts, French fries, ricotta pancake and their frozen margarita. The pasta was packed with flavor and served very warm. Honestly hands down the best pasta I've had so far. Fries were fried perfectly with crunch and softness. Their pancake was unfortunately wasn't up to par but I did see bits of ricotta added in the batter. Service was attentive but one of the servers had an attitude problem where she was condescending to my friend. Ambiance is great - small space but outdoor seating in the summer works out.
First, I never doubt a place recommended by my friend as her choices are always excellent!! Okay the walk there wasn't the cutest, you past through a sketch part of Chinatown but it was daytime so it's all good. It's nestled on a little corner and has outdoor and indoor seating. We opted for outdoor because it was great weather and inside was a little loud. As soon as we were seated, our waitress was so attentive and offered some great recs. We got the egg sandwich, shroom Benedict (by far the best) and avocado toast with side of eggs. All were great but highly recommend the shroom Benedict, the flavors were great.
Came here for brunch and genuinely everything was perfection! We sat outside which made our meal that much cuter - sunny & perf to people-watch while yapping. Can't wait to come back again! Our orders: * House Coffee & Cucumber + Ginger Refresher: really recommend their refreshers if you like juice cleanse drinks. * Smoked Salmon Benedict: fresh smoked salmon & the veggies on the side help balance the flavors from the salmon and hollandaise sauce. * Ricotta Hot Cakes: nice and fluffy, the ricotta flavor is not too strong. The honeycomb butter on top is the highlight & gives a nice flavor. * Banana Bread: honestly one of the best banana breads I've had. this also comes with the honeycomb butter & nutella but I'd say the fried banana on the side is the better topper/highlight for this dish.
Food was great and the service was quick, but my only complain was how hot it was in the restaurant! Came here with a brunch reservation for indoor seating because it was hot the past couple days and we were hoping for AC, but it was like a sauna inside! Would recommend perhaps sitting outside if you have reservations for the summer months. Because of the heat, majority of my group and I stuck to getting salads even though we wanted to try some of the hot foods; maybe next time! Despite that, I enjoyed my salad!
I can't say enough about Dudley's in the East Village. Our experience exceeded all expectations. The food was amazing. We had the salmon eggs Benedict, an egg sandwich and the ricotta cakes. The ricotta cakes were incredible, served with chocolate, syrup, and berries on the side, and filled with bananas inside the pancakes--absolute perfection!!!! The service was impeccable, making us feel welcomed and well taken care of throughout our meal. The vibes were just right, adding to the overall enjoyment of our visit. The drink menu was also perfect with so many options including frozen drinks. And the drinks were strong!!! Overall, Dudley's provided an 11/10 experience. We couldn't have asked for a better brunch spot in the East Village!
For whatever reason I've always had a tough time getting in here by walking in, probs because it's normally brunch time. Popped in here for a quick dinner before a movie and liked everything (not loved tho). It gets the job done but it's pretty similar to some of the other Australian ish spots in the area (think Ruby's).
Came here with some friends for dinner on a weeknight. This was a spur of the moment decision to come here so we had no reservation. Despite that, we were able to be seated right away. I've heard about Dudley's before and it seems like most people come here for brunch, so maybe that's when they're busiest. Service was attentive. I got the bronte burger and we shared an order of truffle fries. The fries were the nice long, skinny kind with a good crisp. The truffle was not overwhelming which I appreciate a lot. It was subtle and light but still there, a good balance. The burger was really good, more than I expected it to be. Instead of a regular bun, it's ciabatta bread. The toppings were spinach, tomato, and sweet chili mayo. I got my burger cooked medium. I actually loved that it was not a bun because buns have a tendency to get soggy but the ciabatta bread held up its structure well. The vegetables were a nice fresh element and the sweet chili mayo provided a lovely flavor. This paired with the fries was great. It really felt like a nice, elevated burger experience. I definitely now want to come back to try their brunch!
~ Truffle Fries $9.5 ~ [Rating: 4/5] These skinny fries are perfectly fried to a golden crisp! While the truffle aroma is on the milder side, they still make for a great appetizer. A must-order! ~ Shrimp Linguini $20 ~ [Rating: 4/5] This pasta is very flavorful, with a nice kick of heat from the chili and a refreshing lemony undertone. The added breadcrumbs provide an extra dimension to the dish. We really enjoyed it! ~ Ricotta Hot Cakes $15 ~ [Rating: 4/5] The dish comes with three large, fluffy pancakes, making it the perfect indulgence. They're served with syrup, chocolate sauce and fresh fruits, delicious! ~ Hot Chocolate $5.5 ~ [Rating: 1.5/5] This drink is extremely sweet, and the chocolate flavor is weak. I don't recommend. - - - - - - - - Will I be back? Yes Solid brunch food and reasonably priced! It can get very busy during weekends, so I'd suggest to come early. Lucky for us, we arrive at 11am on a Saturday, only waited for about 10 minutes
Service was good. A bit chilly if sitting outside even with heaters. The shrimp pasta was really good. The shrimp were soft perfectly cooked and seasoned. Would definitely have again. Friend said her sandwich was okay.
